Galia Sher and Shem Compion came to North West London Jewish Day School to talk about their view of the African life styles. Mrs. Sher was talking about how she lived in Africa and she aso spoke about famous people in Africa, such as: Nelson Mandela, Barney Barnato, Joe Slovo and Lazar Sidelsky. Nelson Mandela lived in the time when there was racism in Africa.

Unluckily Nelson was black and got treated like all other blacks. Nelson was looking for a job, so he went to a person called Lazar Sidelsky. Nelson went to Lazar and asked him for the job. Lazar said that Nelson could work for him and Nelson was grateful. On Nelson’s wedding day, Lazar was not allowed to come, so after the wedding Nelson went on his carriage to Laza’rs house and waved.

Mr. Compion showed everyone slides of Africa. He made the slides from photosthat he took whilst he was in Africa. He showed pictures of African people. Mr. Compion also showed us animals such as: Birds, Lions, Tigers, Cheetahs and Baboons.
